MEET OUR PASTOR

James Hamilton and his wife Darlene were saved in May of 1984 at a small Baptist church in Ft. Worth, TX. James was called to preach a year later during the church's annual Missions Conference. He attended the Norris Bible Baptist Institute and graduated in May of 1988. He served on staff at the Memorial Baptist Church and then Lakeland Street Baptist church from 1985-1990. In May of 1990, he and Darlene, with their first child Joshua, moved to Columbus, OH where James founded and pastored the New Life Baptist Church from 1990-2006. After coming back to Texas, James then served on staff as the Outreach Director for the Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford from 2007-2013. He accepted the call to pastor Arlington Baptist Temple on December 1, 2013. He and Darlene reside in Grand Prairie and have three children all of whom are married and living on their own. They are also the proud grandparents of eight grandchildren with more to come. Their oldest son Josh and his wife Shaunda, with their children, are missionaries in Scotland sent out from ABC. Their middle son Jake, and wife Susie, are seeking to plant a church in Colorado.. While their youngest child, daughter Jessica, is married and serving the Lord with her husband Stephen!
